The Tax Incremental Financing Project Review Committee is made up of five ex officio members that serve terms as listed below:
City Planner, Planning Staff, ex officio member, with an indefinite term
Finance Director, Steven Corbeille, ex officio member, with an indefinite term
City Attorney, Kathleen M. McDaniel, ex officio member, with an indefinite term
Assessor, Vacant, ex officio member, with an indefinite term
Alderperson Jim Brey, Finance Committee Chair, ex officio member, term expires April 16, 2018
It shall be the duty of this committee to obtain necessary information from developers requesting the use of tax incremental financing to assist a proposed project. The committee shall also have the duty to review proposed projects and file a report with the Mayor and Common Council delineating the public benefits and costs associated with any proposed projects. This report shall be made before the Mayor and Common Council make a final decision as to whether or not to participate in any proposed project.
