Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony

WHAT: Annual Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony
WHEN:  Monday, May 25, 2020, beginning at 9:00 a.m.
WHERE:  Starting at South 8th and Washington Streets, continuing on 8th to Huron Street, west on Huron Street turning into Michigan Avenue, and continuing on Michigan Avenue to the Veterans Memorial for the ceremony (which typically begins about 10:30 a.m.).

IMPORTANT:  The purpose of the Memorial Day parade is to honor the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. Military.  This is not a celebratory parade, and it's meant to be done in a respectful and honoring way.  As a result, there is not candy distributed at this parade.  Instead, we would encourage you to consider distributing small flags to be waved during the parade as it passes by.  Please keep this in mind when planning for this event.
