The Playgrounds Activity has been cancelled for this summer due to low enrollment

However, the Friday Youth Field Trips are still going.  Click on the link below to see what we have planned for the summer.
Tip: Registering early is a good way to avoid cancellation of an activity.

Are you looking for an action packed Summer? Do you want to meet new friends? Come to your neighborhood playground and prepare for a Summer filled with fun and adventure! Planned daily and weekly activities include, but are not limited to, arts & crafts, team sports, contests and board games. At least one special event is planned each week. A weekly event calendar is available at each playground site. Our enthusiastic leaders are skilled in sports, games leadership, arts & crafts and other age-appropriate activities. These activities are coordinated by two leaders at each site.

Tot Lots: Ages 4-8 years
Regular Playgrounds: Ages 8-15 years

NOTE: The playground program is not to be used as a substitute for child-care or daycare services. Recreation staff supervise participants during scheduled activities but are NOT responsible for keeping track of children for the duration of the day. Kids can come and go as they please.

Youth Field Trips

Summer field trips will take place on Fridays. Youth field trips are open to all youth, ages 4-15, not just those participating in the Playgrounds Program. Permission forms are available at the Manitowoc Recreation Division Office and with each playground leader. Click here or view our Activity Guide for a complete listing of this summer's field trips!
