Level 2: Fundamental Aquatic Skills

Level 2 lessons teach participants success with fundamental skills. Skills participants will work on and learn by the end of the program include:
  • Bobbing
  • Changing direction of travel while swimming on their front or back
  • Combining arm and leg actions
  • Doing front and back glides and floats
  • Doing front jellyfish and tuck floats
  • Entering and exiting the water by stepping or jumping from the side of the pool
  • Fully submerging and holding their breath
  • Opening their eyes under the water and retrieving submerged objects
  • Recovering to a vertical position
  • Rolling from front to back and back to front
  • Treading water using arm and leg actions
Requirements:  Successful completion of Level 1

This program is held at the Wilson Jr. High School.
