If you wish to pay for the parking ticket, which occurred in the City of Manitowoc, payment must be made in the appropriate amount prescribed for the violation within 15 calendar days of the issue of the parking ticket. Failure to pay or contest your parking ticket within the 15 calendar days of the issue date will result in additional penalties. The Wisconsin Department of Transportation will SUSPEND your vehicle registration and refuse registration of any of your vehicles if you fail to pay or do not contest this parking ticket with 45 days from the issue date. Late Payments: Parking Tickets payment schedule:$10.00 late fee after 15 days, but within 30 days ► $25.00 late fee after 30 days, but within 45 days ► $25.00 late fee, plus a $5.00 suspension fee after 45 days ► If payment is not made within 45 days, a vehicle registration hold will be placed on the vehicle receiving the citation. ► If payment is not made within 81 days, the citation will go to the collection contractor. ► If payment is not made, the City of Manitowoc participates in the Wisconsin Department of Revenue Tax Intercept Program, whereby state income tax refunds may be intercepted for the unpaid amount. |

Ordinance 10.105 Twenty-four Hour Parking: No vehicle shall be parked on those portions of Eighth and Washington Streets not included within the limits described in subsection (2) of Section 10.10 of this Chapter or any other street within the City of Manitowoc, in one place nor on any Municipally owned parking lot located within the city limits longer than twenty-four consecutive hours.
Ordinance 10.101(1) Parking Regulated December 1 to March 31 (Winter Ban Parking): There shall be no parking on all marked state or federal highways, county trunk highways, City bus routes, any industrial truck routes specified in Section 10.14, in any municipal parking lot (with the exception of leased stalls) or in other designated streets in the City of Manitowoc during the months of December, January, February and March of each year between the hours of 1:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. The listed of such streets can be found on the City of Manitowoc website: www.manitowoc.org. Go to City Gov't/Depts tab, click on Municipal Code, click on Chapter 10, Section 10.10(1) Parking Regulated December 1st to March 31st.
Ordinance 10.101(2) Snow Emergency Parking Ban: In addition to the parking restriction of 10.101(1) (listed above), the Mayor may at any time during the year when snow conditions require, snow plowing operations are imminent, or in the interest of public safety, restrict or prohibit parking on any or all streets in the City of Manitowoc as necessary. The Mayor shall announce the exercise of the powers granted in this subsection (2) over local radio stations (WOMT 1240 or WCUB - 980) and, when time permits in a local newspaper (Herald Times Reporter).
