The City of Manitowoc, Wisconsin is updating the existing 1999 Comprehensive Plan. The goal is to bring the plan into compliance with the State of Wisconsin's Comprehensive Planning Law; more commonly known as the Smart Growth law. In addition to the Comprehensive Plan update the consultant will be required to write a number of Special Study Projects. Special study projects include; Manitowoc River Corridor and Downtown Plan, Expo Grounds Study & Market Analysis, Development Codes - Analysis and Recommendations, Sustainable Community and Baby Boom Demographics Analysis.

The City of Manitowoc contracted with Vandewalle & Associates, Inc for their services to update the comprehensive plan.
