The bus is your ticket to an adventure-filled summer at the library! Maritime Metro Transit offers free rides to the library for students, age 17 and under, every Wednesday from June through August. Just show your public library card as a bus pass when you get on board. You’ll get a quick and easy trip to the library. When you’re ready to head home, just get back on board…you can even read on the way!
Enjoy the Riverwalk festivities
Maritime Metro provides bus service to the Riverwalk festivities (generally on a Sunday in June). The bus transports festival goers from the “park and ride” lots at the Lakeview Center and the Mirro lot on South 15th and Franklin Streets every 20 minutes from 11 AM to 7 PM.
Fun on the 4th
Have a blast on the 4th of July when you ride Metro’s free shuttle bus to the City Picnic at Silver Creek Park. The bus picks up picnic goers from the “park and ride” lots at the Manitowoc Senior Center on Custer Street, Metro’s Intermodal Transfer Center at 915 South 11th Street, or Citizen Park on North 18th Street every half hour beginning at 11:00 AM. Riders can also catch the bus at any bus stop or octagonal red stop sign along the route. The last bus leaves the picnic grounds at 4:30 PM.
Maritime Metro is going “KRAZY!”
Krazy Daze in downtown Manitowoc is held on a Wednesday in July. Metro generally provides FREE transportation, all day long, on all routes, all for your shopping convenience. Buses run from 5:00 in the morning until 8:00 PM. So go krazy and “shop-til-you-drop” while riding FREE on Maritime Metro Transit.
