RECYCLED MIXED MEDIA MASTERPIECES
After experiencing and discussing our newest exhibit, Searching for the Seventies: The DOCUMERICA Photography Project, we’ll complete a different project every week, using recycled materials. DOCUMERICA was launched by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in 1971. The goal of this project was to photograph and document the environmental troubles and triumphs.
RECYCLED SUN CATCHERS: July 5th
Using old CD's and acrylic gems, we’ll make a shiny, shimmering decoration to hang in a window or maybe a tree.

FLOWER PRINTS: July 12th
Using plastic bottles, we will stamp funky flower designs onto canvas board.

FOUND ITEM PAINTING: July 19th
We will use recycled and found items as paint brushes.

BOTTLE CAP ART: July 26th
Start saving plastic bottle caps! Different sizes and colors are ideal. WASH & DRY them, store them in a bag and bring them with you to class. We will examine the Rahr-West's bottle cap mural and then let the art of Wassily Kandinsky inspire our own creations.
