Records Division
The Manitowoc Police Department Records Division consists of 6 full time clerks.  Record division responsibilities:
  • open records requests
  • accident reports
  • fingerprint records
  • warrants
  • sex offender information
  • citation and court processing
  • property and evidence processing. 

In addition, the staff is responsible for information on crime and arrest reports which include detailed data on offenses cleared and persons arrested.  The clerks also receive numerous phone calls and assist with citizen complaints at the police department.

Provides automated notification regarding the release and custody status of offenders in Wisconsin county jails.

Wisconsin Criminal History Reports
Wisconsin Criminal History Reports are available through the Wisconsin Department of Justice.

Driving Record
Driving records are available through the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.

Restraining Orders
Restraining orders are applied for through the Clerk of Courts Office at the Manitowoc County Courthouse, 1010 South 8th Street Manitowoc, WI  54220.

Fingerprints
We do provide fingerprinting for state licenses.  There is a fee of $10.00 as long as you reside within the City of Manitowoc.  If you live outside of the City of Manitowoc city limits, please contact your local law enforcement agency.  Hours of fingerprinting are 9am to 11:30 am and 1pm to 4pm.
