Program Information

Level 1 Swim Lessons help participants feel even more comfortable in the water. Skills participants will work on, and learn by the end of the program, include:
  • Alternating and simultaneous arm actions while swimming on their front and back
  • Alternating and simultaneous leg actions while swimming on their front and back
  • Blowing bubbles through the mouth and nose
  • Bobbing
  • Combined arm and leg actions while swimming on their front and back
  • Entering and exiting the water using a ladder, steps, or the pool's side
  • Front and back glides / floating independently
  • Opening eyes under water and retrieving submerged objects
  • Recovering to a vertical position
  • Rolling from front to back and back to front
  • Treading water using arm and hand actions
Requirements:  5 years old
Lessons are held at Washington Jr. High School.

Fall Session: October 1 - Nov. 19, 2016
Saturday Mornings
9:00am and 9:30am (30 min)

FEE: $29.00 resident $36.00 non resident
