Program Information
Level 1 Swim Lessons help participants feel even more comfortable in the water. Skills participants will work on, and learn by the end of the program, include:
- Alternating and simultaneous arm actions while swimming on their front and back
- Alternating and simultaneous leg actions while swimming on their front and back
- Blowing bubbles through the mouth and nose
- Bobbing
- Combined arm and leg actions while swimming on their front and back

- Entering and exiting the water using a ladder, steps, or the pool's side
- Front and back glides / floating independently
- Opening eyes under water and retrieving submerged objects
- Recovering to a vertical position
- Rolling from front to back and back to front
- Treading water using arm and hand actions
