Mariners Trail – a joint project of the cities of Manitowoc and Two Rivers – is Wisconsin’s premiere lakeside recreation trail. The new, 7-mile paved trail hugs the scenic shoreline of Lake Michigan between Manitowoc and Two Rivers. This is the place to get “up close and personal” with the big lake, and is considered to be the longest, continuous, scenic view of Lake Michigan in the state of Wisconsin! From the south, you can pick up the trail in historic downtown Manitowoc at the 8th Street Bridge, near the Wisconsin Maritime Museum. Follow the trail north past the Inn on Maritime Bay, the YMCA, the Manitowoc Breakwater Light, and the Manitowoc Marina to West of the Lake Gardens, where you can stroll through 6 acres of stunning formal gardens. From there, the trail winds north and east along the Lake Michigan shoreline towards Two Rivers. You’ll pass scenic overlooks, wide beaches, gift shops, restaurants and motels. The trail eventually leads you into downtown Two Rivers where a variety of restaurants and shopping can be found. Visit Rogers Street Fishing village, the Neshotah Beach, or continue your adventure on the nearly completed trail between Two Rivers and Point Beach State Forest. Bicycles yield to all other users
Sound clear greeting before passing
Pick up after your dog - its the law! (bags are provided on trail)
