Welcome!

The members and staff are pleased that you would like to know more about this excellent facility and hope that you will want to participate in the programs and services we offer.

Providing an atmosphere where older persons of Manitowoc and the surrounding area can feel comfortable, enjoy the company of their peers and find challenging and satisfying experiences remains our goal as we move through the year 2004 and beyond.

News Notes

Monthly News Notes including daily and monthly calendars, program descriptions and special event information can be found at local banks and credit unions, the public library, the Parks & Recreation Department and, of course, the Manitowoc Senior Center.

Facilities Available

Billiards Room, Fitness Equipment, Library, Computers, Coffee Shop, Classrooms, Assembly Room with a Stage, Social Rooms, TV Room, Music Room with Pianos, Weaving Room, Craft Room with Kilns.

The Manitowoc Senior Center also has a Gift Shoppe.  It is open to all year 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m..  The Shoppe has various craft items and gifts.  It has many seasonal gifts throughout the year too.  The public is always welcome!

Facility Tours Available

Programs at the Center

Some of the classes and programs offered include:  computer classes, craft classes, weaving classes, fitness classes, monthly movies, travelouge films, weekly music, bingo, card and board games weekly along with bus tours and day trips.

The Senior Center has blood pressure screening, foot care clinics, tax help and many more.

If you're looking for something to do, just ask.  If we don't have it, we can see if others are interested and we can create it.

Who Can Participate

Open to any persons age 55 years and older.  (Spouses may also join if under 55 years of age.)

User Fees

City of Manitowoc residents -- $12.00 annually.

Non-residents -- $15.00 annually.

Life memberships:

Residents:  $50.00

Non-Residents:  $60.00

Class fees and additional costs determined per activity.
