Tours and Education

The Lincoln Park Zoo has tours and educational programs available for small and large groups.  Please call Vicki at 683-4685 to schedule a wild enhancement to your zoo visit.

Join the Zoological Society

Join the Lincoln Park Zoo Zoological Society. Our society helps support educational programs at the zoo and maintains and improves conditions for the zoo animals.

Zoo Camps 2008  Camp dates are subject to change, please call 683-4685 to verify dates and reserve your space.

Animal Diets:    July 30 & August 20  
9:00 - 11:00am
Ages 7-10.  Learn about the animals by touring behind the scenes and feeding some of the animals.  Fee:    $5.00
River Life:    August 13 
9:00 - 11:00am 
Ages 7-10. Learn about the animals that live in and around the Little Manitowoc River.  Fee:    $5.00
Farm Life:  July 23 & August 6
9:00 - 11:00am     Ages 4-6
See how the keepers take care of the petting barn animals and learn about the farmers role in our society.  Fee:    $5.00

Special Days 2008

Easter: March 22. Egg Hunt at 11:00 am
A pre-Easter celebration with Easter Egg hunt co-sponsored by the Manitowoc Jaycees and the Manitowoc Noon Optimists. Eggs, prizes and lots of fun will occur this day. Registration begins at 10am.
Family Fun Day: April 26. 10 am - 2 pm
Child abuse Prevention Task Force puts on a fun day of activities for families at the zoo and field house.
Fathers Day: June 15, 11am - 2 pm
A celebration of Fathers Day with life on the farm stations. Bring Dad or Grandpa along to celebrate this outstanding event.
Zoological Member Appreciation Day:    
August 16 (or Aug 30); 11:00am - 3:00pm
A special day of fun for the whole family.  Little River Cafe' will be open.  This will be the last event for the Big Red Barn this season (11:00am-2:00pm).

Halloween Haunted Barn    
October 31 & Nov 1; 5:00pm - 9:00pm
Fun for all ages!
  A maze of hay in the Big Red Barn, refreshments, games, haunted trail for the older kids through the woods.

Happy Holidays at Lincoln Park Zoo    December 18; 10:00 am - 2:00pm 
Come and see the special decorated exhibits and visit Santa between 10:30am and 12:30 pm in the Big Red Barn!  Organizations interested in  decorating the zoo should contact Vicki at 683-4685.. Decorating will take place Dec. 6-14.
