Plein Air Paint Out 

The Rahr-West Art Museum is thrilled to announce Paint Out 2024! 

This year we are excited to be collaborating with the Wisconsin Maritime Museum. 

Saturday, August 3rd, 2024 | 11am-6pm
Wisconsin Maritime Museum Rooftop Deck

Artist Demonstrations:

Robert Theaker: 11am-1pm

Bonnita Budysz: 2pm-4pm

Todd Schabel: 4pm-6pm

Enjoy live music by cellist Rachel Orheim from 1-2pm!

We encourage the public to join in and paint along, engage with professional artist demonstrations, have a refreshment at the Rooftop Deck, and enjoy the scenery of the lakefront and downtown Manitowoc.

Free, all ages, and open to the public! 

Please bring your own art supplies if you wish to create along.

Helpful tips for joining in on the fun during Paint Out:

• If you’d like to create along, please bring your own supplies. There will be tables and chairs on the Rooftop Deck but space is limited, so try to pack small. However, you are welcome to create near the river with much more open space (you may want to bring a chair for these areas.)

• We’re expecting a hot day so sunscreen, hats, umbrellas and water are recommended! Stop in the museum to cool off as well!

• To walk through the Wisconsin Maritime Museum exhibits, please stop by the desk to pay the admission fee. If you are just joining for Paint Out, head to the Rootop Deck, no admission required.

• Sub Pub will be open for drink purchases.

• If there is inclement weather, artist demonstrations and musician will be moved inside the Wisconsin Maritime Museum Riverview Room.

• Bring your creative minds, learn, and enjoy the festivities!
