General Information

Evergreen Cemetery cherishes the time-honored tradition of in-ground interment.  Cremation urns can be buried on either traditional in-ground or cremation-only spaces.  

Most types of cremation burial containers/urns are allowed.  (Exceptions are plastic bags, cardboard containers, etc.)  Burial vaults are not required for cremation burials.  Cremation urns and vaults are available through your funeral director.   

Evergreen Cemetery requires foundations for memorial markers. Memorial markers are encouraged but not required and are available through a local monument dealer.  Memorials at Evergreen Cemetery can be flush with the lawn or upright and can be made of bronze or granite and personalized to reflect a loved one.

Prices for Cremation-Only Spaces

Evergreen Cemetery offers a variety of settings for individual and family cremation-only lots including lots overlooking the Manitowoc River and The Donald & Eunice Dow Memorial Chapel. Lots are available for purchase both as pre-need or immediate need at no additional charge. Cremation-only spaces include room for two burials, perpetual care and sales tax.
