The Manitowoc Wastewater Treatment Facility offers tours of its wastewater treatment facility by appointment. Fifty to one hundred people tour our facility annually. Individual tours are also available.

Tours last approximately 45 minutes and include considerable walking and stairs. Visitors will spend half of their time indoors and half outdoors, so appropriate dress for the weather is recommended.

We can accommodate up to 25 people in a tour, and limit our facility tours to sixth grade and older for safety reasons. Tours should be scheduled a minimum of 2 weeks in advance and are offered Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. There is no charge for any of our tours.
