[ARCHIVED] Dewey Street Reconstruction to Begin July 18, 2016

Reconstruction of Dewey Street from S. 26th Street to 400 feet west of S. 39th Street has been re-scheduled to begin on July 18, 2016 instead of July 11, 2016 and will run through September 30, 2016. The project will include new doweled concrete pavement with integral concrete curb, replacement of concrete driveway approaches, replacement of concrete sidewalk at the intersections, and the installation of drain tile behind the concrete curb. The street is being reconstructed as part of the City’s overall Street Improvement Program. One eastbound lane of traffic will remain open during the project. For through traffic, alternate routes are suggested.

For additional information regarding Dewey Street reconstruction, contact the Department of Public Infrastructure – Engineering Division at 686-6910.
