On Saturday, October 9, 2010 at 9 am, the MPPA will be hosting the 8th Annual MPPA Police Chase - 4 mile Run/Walk. The MPPA is a non-profit organization consisting of law enforcement officers with the Manitowoc Police Department. Throughout the year, The MPPA contributes to various non-profit organizations and individuals seeking financial help in achieving their goals.
The MPPA’s goal for this event is to raise money to help offset the cost of maintaining the Manitowoc Police Department K-9 Program and provide local families with the opportunity to achieve their athletic goals.
The run/walk will start at the Silver Creek Park Field house at 9 am rain or shine. The course will run through Silver Creek Park, the UW-Manitowoc Campus, run along Lakeside Blvd., turn around in Red Arrow Park, and finish back at Silver Creek Park.
Registration forms are available at the Manitowoc Police Department, Amy’s Apparel, Manitowoc Trophy, Copps Food Center, and the Manitowoc Police Department's web site. Cost is $13 for an early registration, due by September 24th, or register on the race day from 8:00 am to 8:45 am at a cost of $18. Long sleeve T-shirts will be given to all participants. Medals will be handed out after the run to the top three male/female finishers in each age division followed by several door prizes.
Whether you are a competitive runner, a casual walker, or would just like to help support the Manitowoc Police Department K-9 Program, please join us for the 8th Annual MPPA Police Chase.
