[ARCHIVED] WINTER PARKING BAN & SNOW EMERGENCY CALLED

Mayor Nickels has called a Winter Parking Ban per City Ordinance 10.410 in effect from 1:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 11, 2020.  There shall be no parking on the Winter Parking Ban streets (salt routes which include bus and truck routes, arterial streets, State Highways, and County Trunks within the City’s jurisdiction).  Tickets will be placed during the Winter Parking Ban.  Seek alternative parking on non-restricted streets.  Winter Parking Ban fine is $50.00.

Mayor Nickels has ALSO called a Snow Emergency to be in effect for Saturday night and Sunday night in anticipation of large amounts of snow over the weekend.  No parking will be allowed on ANY city street overnight Saturday night or Sunday night.  Snow Emergency Parking Ban fine is $75.00.

Salt Route Maps are available on the City website, www.manitowoc.org, by clicking on departments, Public Infrastructure, Snow & Ice Control, and Snow/Salt Maps.

Notification of the Winter Parking Ban will be on the City website, www.manitowoc.org, as well as the City Facebook page, WOMT, WCUB, WLKN, WTAQ, WBAY, FOX 11, NBC26, Channel 4, text and/or email alert or call 920-686-6550.
