Partnering with the Manitowoc County Historical Society, we’re collecting Letters for Tomorrow, which will be added to Manitowoc’s 150th Anniversary time capsule, which will be opened in March, 2070. Letters For Tomorrow Time Capsule Project will continue! We don’t have an exact closure date for the City of Manitowoc’s 150th anniversary time capsule but the current situation allows for the collection of your personal stories related to COVID-19.
Ideas to write about:
How has the current pandemic affected your daily life? How do you feel about the change?
Did your personal relationships or family routines change as part of the practice of staying home?
Are there activities that you will not be able to do during this time? Do you miss your activities?
Did you or someone you know get sick with COVID-19?
What medical treatment was needed?
Write a letter. Draw a picture. Share your story. All ages are welcome to add to our time capsule and help share your current experience with future generations. They will be interested to learn about what is currently taking place. This will be history and you can help us share our story!
