[ARCHIVED] Santa is Coming to Manitowoc!

Santa - Jeff Tess

Due to the COVID-19 public health emergency, there will not be a 2020 Lakeshore Holiday Parade. However, Santa Claus is still coming to town.

Beginning November 25th, "Santa Claus is Coming to Manitowoc" every Wednesday evening until Christmas. Santa's ride, accompanied by Manitowoc Police and Fire Rescue Department vehicles, will visit a different section of the City from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Thanks to the City's GIS coordinator, Manitowoc residents will be able to see Santa's tour dates and routes online. We'll post a link to the Santa tracker as soon as it's ready to launch!

Santa will visit your part of the city on your street sweeping day:  (click here to see a temporary map!)

  • If your street sweeping day is on Monday, Santa will be driving by on Wednesday, November 25th.
  • If your street sweeping day is on Tuesday, Santa will be driving by on Wednesday, December 2nd.
  • If your street sweeping day is on Wednesday, Santa will be driving by on Wednesday, December 9th.
  • If your street sweeping day is on Thursday, Santa will be driving by on Wednesday, December 16th.
  • If your street sweeping day is on Friday, Santa will be driving by on Wednesday, December 23rd.

While Santa will be safely secured in his sleigh as he visits our community, he asks for residents to continue to practice COVID-19 safety precautions. Santa encourages Manitowoc residents to wave to him from inside their homes. If you watch Santa from a public location or from your yard on his route, please refrain from gathering in groups of 10 or more. Santa encourages everyone to stay on his “nice” list by wearing your face covering, keeping your distance, and washing your hands.
