Mayor Justin M. Nickels has declared a snow emergency overnight tonight (Thursday 2-4-21) into tomorrow (Friday 2-5-21).
The Snow Emergency will be in effect overnight tonight (technically Friday morning) from 1:00 a.m. - 6:00 a.m. No parking is allowed on any city street during those hours. A $75 citation will be issued to any vehicle parked on any city street between those hours.
Our crews plan to be out throughout the entire day today and into the evening. Due to the upcoming freezing temperatures it is imperative that you do not park on the street tonight so we can thoroughly clear the snow so it doesn’t freeze on the streets and sidewalks.
Remember: even if your street has already been plowed or appears plowed, the parking ban is still in effect on every city street. Do not assume that if your road has been plowed that you can park on the street. There is no parking between 1:00 a.m. - 6:00 a.m.
Thank you for helping our crews plow the streets safely.
