Candidates Forum

The City of Manitowoc Citizens Advisory Committee will be hosting a Common Council Candidates Forum on Thursday, March 18th from 6 – 8 p.m.

All candidates on the ballot running for Common Council have been invited to participate:  District 1 incumbent Brett Vanderkin and candidate Theresa Schmitt; District 2 candidate Chad Beeman; District 3 candidate Theresa Collins and candidate Michael Cummings; District 7 candidate Scott Pelot and candidate Tim Boldt; District 10 candidate Todd Reckelberg; Mayoral incumbent Justin Nickels and candidate Christopher Able.

Unopposed candidate Chad Beeman has submitted a prepared statement, and unopposed candidate Todd Reckelberg will be reading his own prepared statement.   Both unopposed candidates wished to leave the forum time to the candidates who are running opposed.

The Citizens Advisory Committee will have a set of questions for the participating candidates.  If time permits, questions will be taken from the audience.

Due to Covid precautions, this event will be virtual and available live via Facebook on the City of Manitowoc page; on the City of Manitowoc website which is www.manitowoc.org, Zoom (meeting ID is 875 8904 8754 and the passcode is 968029), and Xfinity channel 4.  A recorded version of the forum will be available on the City of Manitowoc YouTube channel the following day.
