North 10^th St. between York St. and Maritime Drive will be closed to all traffic beginning on Monday, May 3^rd.

Southbound traffic on North 10^th St. will be detoured onto York St. and over to North 9^th St. and then southbound on North 9^th St. to Maritime Drive and then Maritime Drive westbound back to 10^th St.   There will only be one narrow lane for traffic to get back onto 10^th St.  (See the attached map that shows the detour route).

The road closure and detour is needed for the construction of sanitary sewers, watermain, new traffic signal conduits and signal bases, removal of the existing islands, grading, graveling, and concrete paving within the intersection of North 10^th and Maritime Drive.  However, the traffic signal will not be operational until later this summer or fall.  When the intersection reopens, westbound traffic on Maritime Drive will be required to stop prior to entering 10^th St. 

It is anticipated that the project will be completed and all lanes of traffic reopened on or before May 28^th.
