Mayor Justin M. Nickels has declared a Winter Parking Ban for overnight tonight into Tuesday morning (1-9-24).
The Winter Parking Ban will be in effect overnight Monday into Tuesday morning from 1:00 a.m. – 6:00 a.m. There shall be no parking on the Winter Parking Ban streets (salt routes which include bus and truck routes, arterial streets, State Highways, and County Trunks within the City’s jurisdiction). More information can be found in section 10.410 of the Manitowoc Municipal Code “Parking Regulated in Inclement Weather” by visiting www.codepublishing.com/WI/Manitowoc/. Please seek alternative parking on non-restricted streets. Tickets will be placed during the Winter Parking Ban. The Winter Parking Ban fine is $50.00.
Please stay at least 75 feet behind the plow truck when they have their blades down and are plowing or when trucks are salting. If you can’t see the driver in the mirror, the driver cannot see you. Remember plows back up frequently. Thank you for helping our crews plow the streets safely.
