Art of Conversation with Jen Anne
Jennifer Anne is a mixed media artist currently making nature-focused work with letterpress printing, sewing, photography, and drawing. Jen is currently a typecutter at the Hamilton Wood Type & Printing Museum in Two Rivers, WI.
Jennifer Anne conducted four interactive public sculpture projects in Madison from 1996-1998. Each project entailed the dispersal of hundreds of small sculptures in public places (such as parks) over a period of several months. The sculptures had a set of questions and Jen's contact information attached, with "finders" invited to send responses to Jen. Photographs and maps document the places where each sculpture was placed, and response books document the answers or comments sent in by "finders" of the sculptures.
