Art of Conversation with Dr. Tanya Paul
Tanya Paul, the Isabel and Alfred Bader Curator of European Art, came to the Milwaukee Art Museum in 2013. Paul received her MA and PhD in Art History from the University of Virginia. She has been working in museums for over twenty years. In Milwaukee, the exhibitions Tanya has organized include: From Rembrandt to Parmigianino: "Old Masters from Private Collections"; "Dürer and the German Renaissance"; the major traveling exhibition "Bouguereau & America", and many more.
For this special Art of Conversation, Paul will be discussing William Bouguereau and his piece, "La Petite Boudeuse". The piece was a gift of Mrs. John D. West and is a part of the Rahr-West Art Museum’s collection.
