Downtown Snow Removal

[ARCHIVED] Downtown Snow Removal

Good Morning,

A Snow Emergency is declared for overnight tonight.  If the snow falls as predicted, there will be a downtown clean-up tonight, Wednesday 2/12/25 at midnight (technically Thursday) and continuing into Thursday morning 2/13/25.  Please notify contractors to push snow into parking lane only and not into the center of the street.  We might not get to all streets tonight.

Please remember that only Right-of-Way and sidewalk snow can be pushed into the parking lane and NOT the parking lot snow.  A potential citation could be issued if snow from parking lot is pushed into the street.

PLEASE REMEMBER:

  • Snow must be pushed off of the top of the curb into the parking lane of the street BEFORE midnight tonight.  Crews do not pick up or remove snow on top of the curb or on the sidewalk.
  • Please do not push the snow in front of your business along the parking lane into large piles.  If you would like to move snow from the curb line before crews begin the cleanup, it should be placed in several small piles, not one large one. Please make sure there is visibility at all corners.  Please do not push your snow in front of another business.
  • Snow may NOT be moved from your private parking lot into the street.  It is against City ordinance.

Please contact the City with any questions at (920) 686-6510.
