'Still Quilting' opens this weekend with a very special program this Sunday, December 9. Quilt expert Chris Kinka will present 'If Quilts Could Speak' at the Rahr-West. Event starts at 1pm. Chicago native Chris Kinka took an Adult Education quilting class 40 years ago,and was hooked. Finding quilt guilds whevever she lived, even helping to start some, Chris became a popular quilt teacher and lecturer. Her beautiful quilts have won many awards, have been published in quilting magazines and displayed in prestigious national and local quilt shows. Her specialty is meticulous applique, redwork, and quilts containing words.
Now residing in Sturgeon Bay, Chris is an active member of the Library Guild ( a quilt group meeting at the Door Co Library) and the Trillium Guild.
