The Rahr-West Art Museum kicks off its 2016 "Art of Conversation" Series with "Speaking of Stickley" - a look into the fascinating world of Furniture and the Arts & Crafts Movement. The hour talk begins at 10:00am on Thursday, January 21. It is FREE to members ($10.00 to non-members). Reservations are required. Museum Director Greg Vadney, formerly of The Stickley Museum in Fayetteville, NY, takes you through the 120 year old history of Stickley furniture - one of America's most unique, most collected, and most revered furniture companies. Greg will introduce you to the American Arts & Crafts Movement, examine some of the artists who designed and crafted Stickley furniture, and provide hints at how you might find a Stickley treasure here in Wisconsin. Coffee and pastries will be served.
