General Information

Arguably Manitowoc's finest park, Silver Creek Park is set on the shore of Lake Michigan with a creek running through the area and scenic overviews. It consists of 71.74 acres and boasts several unique features such as rolling topography, rural-like wooded public areas, and a winter sports area. A 36-hole disc golf course is located in the park.  In 2017, a new playground system was installed in the grassy area between the fieldhouse parking lot and the bridge over the creek.

Disc Golf Course

This beautiful park offers one of the top-rated disc golf courses in Wisconsin with 36 challenging holes.  The course, which opened on October 31, 2000 and was expanded in 2016, has multiple concrete tee areas on each hole accommodating all skill levels.  The course winds past great picnic areas along Silver Creek and the beaches of Lake Michigan, up and down hills and through the woods.  The signature "Lighthouse Hole - #22" brings even more excitement with the basket surrounded by Lake Michigan on three sides and set atop a six-foot lighted lighthouse.

A donation tube is located near the beginning of the disc golf course for those wishing to contribute to improvements for the course.

Winter Fat Bike Trails
There are approximately 2.5 miles of marked and groomed fat tire bike trails located at Silver Creek Park.  The trail head is located near the Silver Creek Fieldhouse, south of the parking lot next to the storage shed, and public restrooms are located on the south side of the Silver Creek Fieldhouse.   Currently, the use of groomed trails does not require a trail pass or user fee.  Grooming equipment and grooming of the trail is being provided by the Heavy Pedal Velo Club, a local volunteer group.  The trail will only be open when the ground is frozen and snow conditions allow.  This trail is NOT a designated bike trail outside of the winter fat bike season.  See the Mariners Trail website for other bike options in spring, summer, and fall.

Please follow the following fat bike trail guidelines when riding:
  • Ride at your own risk.
  • Ride only when trails are posted "OPEN."
  • Follow trail signs and closures.
  • Obey safe biking guidelines, including wearing your helmet.
  • Stay on marked trails.
  • Yield right-of-way to all other park users, including disc golfers.
