   The purpose of the Memorial Day parade is to honor the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. Military.  This is not a celebratory parade, and it's meant to be done in a respectful and honoring way.  As a result, there is not candy distributed at this parade.  Distribution of small flags to be waved would be appropriate at this parade.  No other handouts of any kind will be allowed unless discussed with the event organizer in advance.  Please keep this in mind when planning for this event.

    I hereby agree to hold the City of Manitowoc, its employees, officials, and agents harmless and to indemnify and defend the City, its employees, officials, and officers against all claims, demands, liabilities, losses, damages, and expenses of any kind or nature, including reasonable attorney's fees and other costs and expenses of litigation on account of any injury, damage, or death to any person or property, directly or indirectly arising from, in connection with, caused by or resulting from my participation and the participation of those directly involved with me in the Memorial Day Parade.

    I hereby release, waive, and discharge the City of Manitowoc, its employees, officials, officers, and agents from all liability should injury, damage, or death occur as a result of my actions, or inactions, and the actions or inactions of others participating in the event with me.

    I agree to inform all participants of our parade entry of these above listed statements, and that we are bound by these above statements and we personally assume any and all risks and liabilities for any injury, damage, or death, whether directly or indirectly occuring as a result of our participation in the Memorial Day Parade.
